For whom would other nationals vote?
Tomorrow there will be the presidential election in the USA. It has been a bit too prolonged process and this time it has been overshadowed by the financial crisis.
Nevertheless, I hereby publish the results of the small opinion polls which I have conducted in this blog: for which presidential candidate you would vote.
As the number of the respondents is rather limited (300-500), I would not contend that this is a full-fledged poll. But anyhow it is an interesting food of thought.
The choice of the US president is important not only for the USA, but also for the rest of the world. I believe that the people living outside the US should be also accorded some means to express their preferences.
The USA itself is a multi-national world, but why is it that only those having the US citizenship have the voting right and we do not, even if our life is much affected by the result of the election?
Anyway, the polls in this blog show;
Among Japanese viewers; 39.7% support Obama, 30.9% would have supported Hillary Clinton and 28.8% support McCain (altogether 518 respondents 08,5-08,11.3)
Among Chinese viewers; 61.7% support McCain, 17.5% support Obama and 12.0% would have supported Hillary Clinton(altogether 334 respondents 08,5-08.11.3)
Among Russian viewers; 37.3% support McCain, 25.9% support Obama and 13.6% would have supported Hillary Clinton (altogether 430 respondents 08,5-08.11.3)
Interesting, interesting.
Dear presidential candidates, please remember which nation support you most.
